• Hello,

I installed this pug in, after a quick look over it looks very nice, it seems to work well with my all but one of my plugins, and it looks like I can achieve the look I want with some CSS. Thank You!

I had to deactivate it because it was not compatible with a custom page I made. I need to find a way to make it work, hopefully someone here can help.

I have WordPress within my website and call some information with a PHP include. I did this by creating a blank page with the minimal WP code to make it work, my site is structured like this:

    mysite.org/index.php
    mysite.org/wordpressfolder/mycustonpage.php

You can see it in action here:
    https://www.jhcband.org/
with the news ticker being a WordPress plug in.
    And here:
    https://www.jhcband.org/members/index.php
with the member list being a WordPress plug in.

When I activated the wp-mobile-detector plugin these 2 paged died. It had trouble with the header. Is there a bit of code I can add to my custom pages so the wp-mobile-detector will ignore them?

Also, the shortcode in my news widget for the plugin Scheduled Announcements Widget does not work at all, it just shows the raw code. i.e. ‘[announcement]’ is there a work around for this?

    Thank for your help,
    Julie

    Julie,

Where is your custom page code at? Is it in the functions.php of your desktop theme?

Is the scheduled announcements widget dependent on anything else?

I was reading thru some of the post on this plugin because I have put one up. It seems months go by before the authors come around with answers and by that time the member with the problem is long gone and no longer engaged.

In other words, he/she has moved on to another source for the issue.

I understand the plugins are free but to capture paid customers and improve the free plugin you need to use the data to improve the product.

    Thanks for your efforts however.

It’s now apparent support here from the plugin developer’s won’t happen. Or at least not soon enough to reasonably solve the issues stated.

I have written to them via there website and have not received a response. It has been over 48 hours so I’ve officially moved on.

I also reaffirm that the problem I noted existed, was verified by the host and went away when I deactivated and fully deleted the plugin.
