  • Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

Thanks Esmi, I will do that. But when I do, can you tell me what style’s I will need to edit in order to make the primary div a full width with no padding? I can’t seem to get it…

I’m sorry but it is beyond the scope of these forums to deal with basic CSS issues. Try a dedicated CSS resource such as https://www.css-discuss.org/ instead. I’d also recommend using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

looking for an answer to this very question, I came across this thread.

@esmi – why bother responding at all, if you don’t even show the least of effort to provide an answer? (…and even more so, if it’s just ‘basic CSS’ which I am sure you must have tons more experience with than the rest of us…)

Just as cleanteam was looking for this very same answer… I am too!

@esmi – I wouldn’t consider this an “issue” for the individual but a basic necessity worth sharing on here as to support the needs of what seems to be at least a few people.

    Anyone have a solution? ??

@munvo – per forum guidelines, you will be much more likely to get help if you start your own thread, rather than tacking on to an old one. You’ll need to include a link to your site for help with CSS issues.

@wpyogi – Sorry, didn’t realize that. I’m speaking of the themes CSS not my own…

So do you have a question? If you need help on any site with CSS, it’s usually necessary for someone to see the actual site live.
