Help – writing blog posts in Updated version of Internet Explorer

    This week I updated Internet Explorer to the latest version and ever since have had issues writing blog posts on wordpress. I can type up and edit a post in ‘HTML’, but cannot use ‘VISUAL’ for whatever reason. The cursor won’t appear in the text box and when I try to use the kitchen sink it won’t let me – particularly annoying when I want to go full screen on a large blog post with images/video. When I click on the icons, nothing registers – nothing happens.

    Is this an issue with IE or wordpress? Can anyone shed any light so I can solve this problem?

    IE9? There is no problem with WordPress. Something is wrong in your configeration.

    Have you tried:
    – checked your profile and the visual editor setting?
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins if you have one. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    How do I check the visual editor setting? (apologies – I’m a novice and just a writer, my tech knowledge is limited)

    No issues there, and also deactivated all plug-ins and not changed anything. Only had this issue today after switching to IE9.
