[Plugin: Promotion Slider] How to prevent preloading

This excellent plugin pre-loads all slides. So, if -say- we have 5 slides at 50KB each on the home page, this adds 250KB to the total home page size. Not good.
Is there a way to load just the first slide, and then bring up the next ones from the server as needed?
