[Plugin: Easy Chart Builder for WordPress] Live charts with PHP variables?

Great plugin though I can’t figure out how to create a chart with live data.
My group values need be populated from one of my custom WordPress databases.
I’ve tried inserting a custom shortcode within the East Chart shortcode but it breaks.
Any ideas?
