Cannot log into wordpress getting "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare jqueryj_head()

    I have thesis and I tried uploading a new child theme, but it couldn’t upload and I got this message “Thesis Error: Warning: require_once… errors or The parent theme is missing. Please install the “thesis_184″ parent theme”, so I went to the Themedy user manual page and it said that I should rename my thesis folder “thesis_184” so I did, reuploaded it with the correct name and then tried to activate the child theme and this is what I got “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare jqueryj_head() (previously declared in /home/ceh6374/public_html/cvartistry.com/wp-content/themes/thesis_184/functions.php:91) in /home/ceh6374/public_html/cvartistry.com/wp-content/themes/thesis_184/functions.php on line 103” I am a newbie so I don’t know if I named something incorrectly, or if it was something else entirely. At this point it doesn’t even let me log into the admin portion of my site to switch out themes. Is there another way to get into the site to fix this? Please help!

  • As you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors. In the meantime, try switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
