• Using plugin version 1.9.3. Have had persistent problems with the sort which I attempted to post about before and got very little in response, so if I get any answer there now, that’s a bonus. (sort isn’t working consistently.)

The big frustration right now is uploading. I have a folder of 25 images, and only 22 will go. The other three generate this error in the upload box: ERROR HTTP error. : HTTP Error

I have tried uploading in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. I have resaved the images and given them new names. The meta data in these images is not in any way significantly different from the other images in that folder. Nothing works and I cannot get those images into the intended gallery. Just for fun, I tried uploading one of these images into another gallery, and the same error occurs. These images are all 72DPI, 800×800, so it’s not a matter of large image files.

It’s been suggested that I roll back the plug in version, but I confess I am a little scared to do that, not having done such before.

    Anyone? Thank you…

The site is https://photomonk.com though the gallery into which I am trying to get these images is not published yet.

    bump – anyone?

What kind of images are they? JPG? Do the file names have any non-standard characters, like umlauts, apostrophes etc? Are you uploading them via the flash uploader, or non-flash? And are they being uploaded as part of a folder, or individually?

    What’s your sort problem?

Standard jpgs. These particular images were shot on an iPhone but have been resized and resaved in Photoshop. No funny characters, not even a hyphen. Honestly not sure if I am using the flash uploaded, just the default uploader, first presented. I am selecting each image to load in, rather than grab a whole folder. I’ve tried 3 browsers, have resaved the images, have moved them to a different folder on my HD and then tried uploading, but no dice.

The sort problem we covered in the other thread. Basically (in case there are new readers here), the files are loading in out of order. I have Custom Sort set in the plugin settings. I hit the Sort Gallery button after selecting the desired gallery, and on the next screen, attempt every single option (though date/time is my preference – and yes I have checked to make sure that those are in the uploaded files’ metadata). In 2 of three galleries I have uploaded so far, the sort fails to work. This is a photo blog so there are going to be many galleries added over time. Would like to resolve this at the start of the blog, and not fight my way through with each upload.

    Thank you…

I have the same problem.. :/

My upload errors were resolved by my host, and that seems to be the most common resolution I have seen with that problem. Check with yours to see if they can fix that for you, too.

I am still unable to properly sort most of the time. Used to be, the Date/Time option worked perfectly but now none of the sort options changes the order of things. And moving them manually is a long, tedious process because the thumbnails never seem to go where I want them.
