Custom Menu Navigation Labels Not Working

  • Hello there,

    I haven’t seen this issue posted on the forums before.

    The test site I’m working from is here: https://www.dancollin.com/kickstart

    The problem is, the Navigation Label changes for the Parent/Level 1 menu item when I edit it, but it doesn’t change when I edit it for any of its Child/Level 2 menu items. When I change the Navigation Label for the Child/Level 2 menu item, it changes, but when I change its Parent/Level 1 menu item, it doesn’t change. One always works while the other one doesn’t. Strange.

    THINGS I’VE DONE:
    -Remembered to click the “Save Menu” button
    -Tried with several different Level 1 and Level 2 menu items
    -Deactivated all plugins and repeated the above items

    I would appreciate it if anyone provided any insight about this issue. Thanks!

  • Any luck? I’m running into the same problem. It’s so strange.

    When using custom menu functions . . . I’m also finding that I can’t set an “alternative navigation” label to the page title for Child/level 2 menu items.

    It’s fine when changing on Level 1/parent menu items.

    Can’t seem to find any solution in the forums. Can anyone help?
