We are currently running WordPress version 3.1.3. I figured this was up-to-date, because going to “Updates” on the Dashboard assures me that, “You have the latest version of WordPress.” I didn’t realize it was out of date until Google sent us an e-mail warning about running an older version of WordPress, which may have vulnerabilities.

Looking on our development server, we are running PHP version 5.2.12 and mySQL 5.1.43-community. That should meet the mimimum requirements for the upgrade, but WordPress isn’t detecting it. Should I just disregard this fact and upgrade manually? Am I missing something?
