[Plugin: FG Joomla to WordPress] Media does not copy

I think this is because the destination directory is not writable. Can you verify the permissions of this directory /home/magicjac/public_html/gdftest.Co.CC/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2004/08 ?

It seems to write the correct directories but does not download any content.

It very well could be a misconfigured host, here is the php info

To get more details about this error, can you remove the “@” in the file fg-joomla-to-wordpress.php line 570 just before “copy” ?
And run the import again.

“URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration” says that your provider has banned the use of the copy function through HTTP.
You should try the import on a localhost installation, that means, copy your Joomla database on your computer and install WordPress on your computer too. After running the migration on your localhost, you will have to export the local WordPress database and the media files to your remote server.

So I uploaded a php.ini file with “allow_url_fopen = On” and I got

Fatal error: Class ‘PDO’ not found in /home/magicjac/public_html/gdftest.Co.CC/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/fg-joomla-to-wordpress/fg-joomla-to-wordpress.php on line 424

It looks like the solution is adding a php.ini in wp-admin directory with the following:

allow_url_fopen = On
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so

I will have to try it later since my webhost’s firewall blocked me

You are right. allow_url_fopen, PDO and PDO_MySQL are needed in order for the plugin to work.

Tried the above in latest version and encountering same issue as stated above

To get more information about your problem, can you remove the @ in the file fg-joomla-to-wordpress.php at line 734: if ( !@copy($old_filename, $new_filename) ) {
and run the import again?

I actually did your change yesterday as I found the @copy as saw it on another post…and it copied the following…articles copy was successful and it seemed to copy the images but nothing in the files follow transfer. Any ideas ??

Can you tell me what you entered in the settings (except the login/password for confidentiality reason) ?

Moreover, is it normal that you have a double slash in images/86//Family ?
