Suggestions for Donation Widget

  • Hi!

    I’m hoping the community can toss a few suggestions my way, in regards to a great donation widget (that supports PayPal).

    Currently, I’m attempting to use the [Paypal Target Meter Widget], however it only functions properly on a sidebar and looks a little bland.

    Here’s an idea for what I’m looking for:
    – Professional-looking design (nothing with posies all over it)
    – Flexibility to be placed in one of the footer widget areas
    – Something with a progress “meter” of sorts, that displays donation goals and current totals.

    I currently run a steadily-expanding game server, and donations of all sizes are made. I’d like my players to be able to see what each monthly goal is, and how close we are to that goal.

    I’m not asking for someone to build me a widget such as what I’ve described; just hoping one already exists (that I’ve somehow overlooked), and is compatible with WP v3.3.1

    Okay, so evidently this thread was fixed and my other one was closed.

    For the record – I wasn’t “spamming” as what was alleged in the duplicate thread. This thread bugged out when using the List tag, and the entire page went haywire. I don’t appreciate being accused of spamming, when it was really a simple typo. I’d like to believe it was simple miscommunication but judging by previous experience here, that seems unlikely.

    I can’t imagine that the moderation team here could make a user feel any less welcome. I do believe I’ll reconsider posting here in the future – I should have taken the advice of the consumer feedback on WP support.
