scott’s category image plugin breaks rss feed in wp 1.52

  • awhile ago i noticed that when i upgrade to the latest version of WP then using scott’s category image plugin breaks my rss feed.

    on the blog everything displays and works correctly, but my rss feed gets broken and stops displaying where the category images would show up.
    it seems like it does not comment out correctly as there are all these extra
    ]]> printing in the feed and all the header info is gone.

    i tried asking scott on his site but he does no longer seem to support the plugin.
    maybe somebody else has an idea how to fix this?
    i am currently using an old version of the code, that does display the category images correctly but borks the links to the categories.
    if someone wants to have a look i can upload the newer version of the plugin for a while.
