Akismet Stopping All Sending in Contact Form 7

    I have a self-hosted wordpress site. I have all the updated plugins for Contact Form 7 and Akismet. I am also using WP-Mail-SMTP and Really Simple CAPTCHA.

    All of a sudden, Akismet is blocking ALL incoming contact form usages. I have several different forms and none of them seem to be working in either IE or Chrome (oddly, they do seem to work in Opera). Every time someone tries to upload a new form, it blocks them, saying Akismet has flagged it as spam.

    Any help would be most appreciated, as this is a really huge issue for us.

    I’ve used Akismet & CF7 on many web sites and I’ve never had this problem. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    I have exactly the same problem like soulofmiami. I am using Contact Form 7 and Akismet on several self hosted wordpress sites and all worked fine. Since two days Akismet suddenly blocks all the forms of 2 blogs, regardless if it is Firefox, Safari, IEn Chrome and so on.
    It’s a big issue for me too, and I’m trying to find an answer, but nothing for now… ??

    Okay, it appears that I fixed it. It was neither Akismet nor CF7 causing the issue, but turned out to be WP Super Cache. For some reasonl, it was serving up way old versions of pages, even dynamic pages (like tag lists). For whatever reason, this freaked out Akismet, which flagged everything as spam.

    I tried just deleting the cache, but that did not work. I deactivated the Cache plugin and now the site appears to work fine, if slower.

    Hello soulofmiami, I also use WP Super Cach ??
    But I found another workaround: I installed a prior version of Contact Form 7 = 3.0.2.1 and it works! I did this because I manage another wordpress where the forms are working with this version.
    I can’t really believe that it is due to WP Super Cache, you have to observe I think.
    Anyway, if you want to have the version 3.0.2.1 of Contact Form 7, just give me your e-mail address and I will mail it to you.

    Yes, i just updated to WP 3.1.1 and CF7 v3.1.1 at the same time 2 days ago, and started having problem receiving mails…

    Can you send me CF7 v3.0.2.1 at [email protected] ?
