• Yesterday when a client uploaded new content on an existing page the copy lost formatting, continued across the right column and off the page instead of staying within the area. She had copied directly from Word so I thought that could be the issue – I removed, un-formatted and put the copy back in but it still had the same problem. That seems to have fixed itself, I had installed the TinyMCE-Advanced plugin for white space issues but didn’t think this should fix that formatting issue.

Then today when adding a new post the copy within the admin system is not formatting or staying within the window and I’ve lost the ability to scroll, but when it previewed and published it was ok. The site is https://www.stretch-fitness.co.uk.

Any advice would be really appreciated as I’m not sure whether the problems are linked or if I’ve done something wrong in the build. It uses a customised RealEstateFusion template and is hosted at Go Daddy.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – typing some plain text content into a new test Post?

ok, thanks I’ll try that. It’s strange, the site has been live for six months and has never had any problems!
