[Plugin: Tweet Button with Shortening] The plugin is not shortening my links

I’m trying to use this plugin, Tweet Button With Shortening, in posts on a new blog, but it is not shortening my links using Bit.ly. I entered the API key in and also for “login” I put my bit.ly login username. Is this correct? The url is https://www.everintransit.com
