    Hi,

I basically need users to register before viewing the site so they can receive a special link. The method i’m using at the moment is causing problems on facebook and some browsers so i wondered if anyone knows a way of having the Registration form as the front page and still block the content until users are registered.

Also is there a plugin that can auto send emails of the special link to new members?

I can only find stuff for old versions of wp and most of those plugins are out of date and i need to sort this asap.

    Thanks

  • Check out the Theme-my-login plugin, it will do most of what you’re looking for. You can make your login page your front page, as a static page… set that under Settings > Reading in the LeftNav of the Dashboard.

Then to block out all the pages use something like the Member-Access or Members-Only plugins
