    Hey Thindes57. Thanks for the heads up; you’re the second user to bring this conflict to our attention this week, so it sounds like there’s definitely something up. While we can’t guarantee The Events Calendar will integrate smoothly with everything else out there, I have downloaded that W4 Post List plugin and will be testing against it for the 2.1 release to see if there’s anything we can do on our end to smooth integration.

    Sorry I couldn’t offer anything more substantive in the short-term. Let me know if you’ve got other questions here.

    Hi, I’ve just come across the same problem, this is my first WordPress site so I’m not too familiar with what’s a basic feature and what requires a plugin. If you haven’t a solution to use both plugins yet can you advise on an alternative to W4 Post List, I use it to show posts from a specific category, i.e. a lastest news list, cheers

    Hey guys,

    Not really sure about an alternative to the W4 Post List plugin but the fix is pretty easy. If you open up /wp-content/plugins/w4-post-list/admin/admin.php and find line 18 and change to:

    add_menu_page( W4PL_NAME , W4PL_NAME , $w4pl_plugin_option['access_cap'], W4PL_SLUG, 'w4pl_admin_page', W4PL_URL .'scripts/menu.png', '10' );

    That will get back your Events menu. Unfortunately the next time you update W4 Post List, this modification will be lost. I’ll post in the plugin authors forum to see if they can correct this in the plugin permanently.

    Cheers,
    Jonah
