[Plugin: Latest Custom Post Type Updates] Number of posts to show not working

    Hello,

    It’s a very nice plugin. I like it very much.

    For my website, the option “Number of posts to show” is not working, even if the number is 1,2,3…10. It keeps displaying 6 most recent posts.

    Here are my settings:
    Title: <some_title>

    Number of posts to show: 3

    Post Type: Posts

    Show advanced options: on

    Taxonomy to filter by: Categories

    Only show posts that are IN the following tags/categories: <only_one_category_checked>

    Are you aware of such problem? What can I do to solve it?

    Glad you like the plugin and I am sorry that you are having trouble with it. If you could let me know what version of WordPress you are using I will investigate further and see if I can reproduce your issue.

    I have discovered that the the problem appears on the theme I use. If I change to Twenty Eleven 1.3, for instance, the number of posts is displayed correctly.

    Any ideea how to solve this?

    I am not 100% sure what the problem would be, but I suspect that it has something to do with a filter in your theme modifying database queries. It would most likely be located in your themes functions.php file if this is indeed the case (but can vary depending on the theme). If you want, I can take a look at the theme and see if I can track it down. If it is in the WordPress theme repository, you can just post a link here. Otherwise feel free to zip your theme up and email it to me at [email protected]

    I will check my theme to see. If I need to change something, I will migrate to another plug-in because I do not want to have changes in my theme because it will be difficult to maintain.
