[Plugin: bbPress] @ in userID problem for showing user profile

    I’m using the Shibboleth plugin for federated user authentication, which causes all user IDs to be in the form of userID@domain (they have to be like that due to the federative nature of the system). This is no problem for WordPress but bbpress seems to have trouble with them when showing user profiles. Could this be fixed somehow?

    It turns out that this is problem with the Shibboleth plugin, which is using the sanitize_name function instead of the sanitize_title function for the user_nicename.
