I don’t even know how to start. Basically, the question is this: does WordPress come with its own hosting (like Blogspot) or do would I need to host the blog/site elsewhere? What if I wanted to use Pages, would that change the situation at all?

If you want something like blogspot, go to WordPress.com

If you want to use plugins and have full control over the look of your site, you’ll have to get your own hosting.

Using pages makes no difference. You can have pages with either your own hosting or with WordPress.com

I have a WordPress blog, but can’t tell where it is hosted. This is causing me much confusion because in trying to get my email address to work, GoDaddy is saying I need to change the mx records at the host site. Since I can’t find what the actual hosting site is, I am very lost. I would be extremely glad for any help on this…

@twinsfan1 You will need to post a link to your site to allow people here to look into it for you.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

    The blog is Living Intentionally…

Doing a trace of your domain, it looks like your site is hosted on MediaTemple’s servers. They are a dedicated server company though, so I don’t think you are working with them directly. You should be paying some company for hosting of your site. That would be the easiest way for you to track down who your host is.

David@Skysa, while we do have dedicated server options, we also have a shared option- the (gs) Grid-Service. Just wanted to clarify. ??

Twinsfan1, I suggest contacting your site admin for more information about your email issue. They can then contact support at (mt) Media Temple. If you’re not a listed contact on the account, we won’t be able to give you much information.
