    I’m trying to upload images and PDFs to my website, but can’t. There is no error message, but the media uploader just stalls. If I wait for five minutes (for a 100KB file), it will just stay stuck on 100%. Then, if I click to go elsewhere on the dashboard, it will say “crunching” before going to the new page.

    My uploads were working on the weekend, although they were painfully slow (for small files, it would jump to 100% right away, but crunching seemed to take 5 to 10 minutes for tiny files). Now they don’t work at all. Same result if I try the browser uploader — it just stalls.

    I am using Google Chrome 17.0.963.56. I have tried this on both my laptop and desktop computers with no luck. I have cleared the cache, restarted the browser, etc. I switched themes in recent days but even when I revert back to the theme I was using on the weekend, it doesn’t work. It always is stuck on 100%.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    I have the same thing happening: When using media uploader it just stalls and says Crunching… I’ve deleted all files and databases, rebooted machine then uploaded a fresh minimal wordpress (no plugins, extra themes, post or page info) and still the same problem. And I have other accounts on same server that work fine with same media.

    Searched all over and haven’t found anything that fixed it or explained it. So sorry jklaszus I don’t have any answers but you have company. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
