  • I can’t it either and when I go to your profile, I only see 2 other plugins:

Let me see if I can find out who could have deleted it or how…

You can try emailing plugins AT wordpress DOT org to try to find out what happened.

I have and I had a reply asking me what some of my code does (which isn’t obfuscated in any way)… so it looks like someone decided to read through my code, didn’t understand it, and therefore deleted my plugin – and didn’t send me any notification.

    Its OK its back now….

It was flagged for review (first step with any reported plugin is preventative – disable it until it can be reviewed, just in case). Sometimes plugins that are pulled are reinstated before anyone needs to contact the author.

So do I ever find out why it was flagged for review and what was the report that was made? I wonder if it was this:

    You have email.

So I see Mark – I’m quite sure that the people who those run those sites would not like to be described in such a way.

    I’ve replied to your email

OK it looks like I’m doomed.

Please delete the plugin – because if you are going to wade through every single line of code and question it its just not going to be worth me spending the time defending every single thing I’ve done in my plugin.

    Mark:

As an avid user of this plugin, I can assure you it is not only used for spam, but is a great business tool. I have it running on 3 of my sites currently, and find it an amazing time saver.

Feel free to contact me directly if you would like to see a valid application of the software.

    Thanks for the defence Harlyn.

But I’d still like to know why it was flagged? Was it a random plugin review or was it a “complaint” from someone and if it was a complaint then was it a real complaint or a malicious one….

This is very frustrating to hear. I used this plugin on a couple blogs, and it simplifies my life. Plus I love it’s customizability. It’s a great plugin. It’s not used for spam! It’s one of my favorite plugins. Please reinstate it!

If the plugin has been removed from the Repository, it will have been removed for good reason.

    tspack

    (@tspack)

    esmi,

There’s no indication is was removed for good reason. Rather, it was removed because someone misunderstood some of the code and thought it inappropriate that the developer thanked those who’d donated money. Thus, it’s removal was a mistake. I am hoping that the person(s) who removed it realize their mistake and fix it. The removal of a very useful plugin that does not do what is accused is a bad thing for all.

    (@esmi)

The precise reasons for the removal are between the plugin’s developer and the Repository maintainer.
