    Hi,
In my blog, in the post writeup area (down right) there is an option for attach Featured image. This image goes to the blog post and becomes the 1st image.

So far so good. But, when I click on the published post featured image it always open as an independent image (having its URL in the address bar).

I want that the featured image should be unclickable. On click nothing should happen.

I tried using all options which appear inthe media upload popup like for Link URL I used None (still the same prob), File URL (same prob), Post URL (same problem).

I can stop this to happen for my images which I insert within the posts as I can switch between View and HTML tab in the post writeup area and manually delete the image click link.

However, for the Featured post, I am looking for a solution or code in which all the featured images will become “un-clickable”.

    Regards,
    Zan

  • What you are describing is a theme-specific issue, so you will probably need to edit the theme’s template files. Site url?

I dont think this is a theme dependent. I tested many themes and found this issue with all of them. You can visit: https://www.PosterPie.com

I’ve created many themes and I can assure you that it is theme dependant. But as this is a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.

Have you visited the site. The thing is at PosterPie we would prefer other way round that is if someone click on the image, it should open the next post and so on instead of just opening the enlarged image. Any suggestions or get around available?

I tried looking online but the best we could do at the moment is to use a bar with pre and next option for post navigation what you can see on our site.

    Have you visited the site

Yes. That’s how I know it’s a commercial theme. Please seek support from the theme’s vendors.

Things are bit slow at professional support end though. Thatswhy I would like to get a solution from my side also. I don t think this problem should be that difficult that I will not get an help here. So I am still open for any suggestions or code form anyone!

We do NOT support premium themes as you paid for their support when you bought it. It is not our place to keep theme vendors in business or deprive them of any income that they may derive from support services.

Thanks Esmi to make me learn some bit of coding ??

Due to this, I have solved the problem by my own. So I think this topic is now closed!
