My text is missing on home page. In dashboard pages – the HOME page Permalink reads https://www.lifecoach101.net/home-2/ and I wonder if this could be the cause. Should I change that 2 to 1? and what is the worst case scenario if I did??

When this problem originally showed up I went into the dashboard Pages and found 2 HOME pages. I deleted the blank one. When I VIEW the home page it looks fine BUT when I Browse it there is no text in centre of HOME page YET if I click on HOME tab the text appears.

This website was ‘transported’ to this domain and worked perfectly until I viewed another “theme” (why did I do that!) Since then this problem occurred.

I posted this and then clicked on the link above and the text appears from this link??? I am really baffled now. Browse the url without the Permalink and you will see what I mean.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

If changing the permalink does not fix the issue then you can simply change it back.

Widgets get reset when you change themes without running something like “Widget Saver”. This will cause everything to be mis configured

I would recommend changing the permalink of home-2 to just home. It looks better. Once you do that then go into the admin panel. Go to settings->discussion->reading and select your home page as the static front page

It means you have more than one page in the db with a title ‘home’ so when used twice it becomes ‘home-2’, use a different slug to test, such as test23, then remove any pages named ‘home*’ from trash and even better don’t use ‘home’ as a page name, any menu item can have it’s link text renamed in varying manners..
