WordPress Comments not submitting properly

  • I’m having issues with comments not submitting properly. You can fill out a comment but from there it does not submit them to the dashboard as pending or show them as waiting for moderation on the post page either. Also the url when the page reloads has a blank number for the comment #, /#comment- , at the end of the url. I have tried switching to default theme, and deactivating all plugins but it did not seem to resolve the problem.

    If anyone else has this problem, i seemed to have fixed it by adding a wp_comments table to the mysql database. not sure how it got deleted but i think it was trying to write to a table that didn’t exist. maybe in future versions it can write a table if it is missing to stop this from happening.
