• Hello!
I am using the plugin WordPress Access Control so that some pages are only visible when members are logged in.

I would like to make the calendar & events pages only visible to members who are logged in but can’t see a way to do this because the Event calendar settings creates calendar page which doesn’t live in the ‘pages’ section of wordpress. that is were I can control the accessibility of other pages.

any advice? I am happy to switch to another access control plugin if there is one you can recommend works with he Event Calendar?

    Thanks!
    Greer

    Can anyone help with this?

Hey Alegria. Thanks for reaching out; at this point there isn’t much I can suggest here, unfortunately. We’ve built a little role manager plugin that isn’t commercially available and isn’t supported, but it may work here if you want to give it a go. Let me know if so, rob /a/ tri.be.

I’m having the same issue. Our site is about to go live and I may have to replace this calendar with another one if I can’t get it to work only for registered users. Has anybody had any luck with this?

    Thanks!

Hey Jimfire. I unfortunately haven’t heard of much. Have you checked out whether any third-party plugins can help you out here?

HI roblagatta – thanks for your post. I am already using the plugin ‘WordPress Access Control’ – with this I can set users access to individual, posts, pages & infact it works with your individual events already.

The only page it is not working for is the main calendar page because it is created by the settings of the events Calender plugin – and does not exist anywhere else i.e. within pages etc..

If there a shortcode that I can use to publish the calendar on another page? Then I could apply the user access level to that page?

Let me know if that does not make sense!

You can use the Redirection plugin to rewrite a URL dependent on whether someone is logged in or not. You should be able to redirect people who are not logged in to a separate page
