[Plugin: Google Maps Store Locator for WordPress] store locator – view and suburb search

I am having trouble finding out how to center the view. I have set the zoom level to 6 but when my map loads in the page it loads in the middle o the country and nowhere near the stores listed. Is there a way to set the maps default to a set location?
Another problem I have encountered is when a user searches for a specific suburb it is actually leaving the selected country and locating a city in another country is there someway to fix this. Map is set to Australia so I would of thought it would search Australia first.
