    apparently these 2 lines are the problem ones

    if ( preg_match(“#^$match#”, $request_match, $matches) ||
    preg_match(“#^$match#”, urldecode($request_match), $matches) )

    i tried to remove them from dreamweaver it removed the lines from the pages but then my links arent working then

    try setting your permalinks to default settings.

    if that doesnt work then try switching to the twentyeleven theme to see if we can rule out the theme you are using.

    Thank you so much for your time .

    Sorry but this is a really bad idea if your site has been indexed by the search engines. If you use this method your url structure is going to change and that means that all of the links in search engines from before you changed to the default setting as suggested here are going to go to 404 error pages. Once that happens search engines assume you’re site is not being maintained and your rankings begin to tank. Don’t use this method as is being suggested instead download WPEC 3.8.8.5 https://getshopped.org/getshopped-news/wp-e-commerce-3-8-8-4-release/ which has apparently not made it into the plugin repository as of this evening, but was released today.

    I suggest it would be better to update WP Installations, (…probably update other plug-ins too)
