• Just installed 0.72 – everything looks nice except that it’s sticking
    ‘s inside my <pre> tags. Maybe this is a bug, reading the Features page, or is there a something else I need to turn on/off?

  • Take a look at the 29 October entry for the dev blog. That may be helpful to you.

    Does WordPress use nl2br()?

    The Oct 29 entry provides a way to get old linebreaks out – I’m seeing linebreaks being put in where they shouldn’t be. I’m wondering if it might be because I’m on Mac OS X and there is some difference in regexp handling in PHP… ??

    i’ve got the same problem in my posts with the <pre> tag. there are still automatic linebreaks within these tags and they are useless ??
    They are not in the database. how do i get rid of them ?

    This is a bug in the autop code, it has been reported before but no one has fixed it yet. If any regex gurus want to help out, please do. I’d be happy to show you where the code is.
    Also, I think we need to add a couple per post features:

    • [x] Auto Formatting
    • [x] Smart Quotes
