• Hi,

I have activated the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin. This may seem dumb, but do I still have to paste the Google Analytics tracking code into the header html text, or was this done for me when I activated and saved the settings for the plugin?

    Thanks

Yes. That’s the idea for using a plugin, so you can avoid editing theme files in WordPress. ??

Via another web browser and not logged into your installation, (Firefox, Safari, *gasp* Internet Explorer) visit your WordPress page and view the HTML source. If the plugin is working you should see the GA code there.

Thanks! It’s working now. I was too excited and couldn’t even wait the full 24 hours for the data to start appearing…I was thinking maybe it was too easy, but as you say, that is the whole point of it
