    Is it possible to make the heading on a page different text to the text of the menu item?

    I have a page with a very long title and I’d like to make the clickable menu text shorter.

  • Yes.

    I assume you’ve set up a custom menu that you’re using as your main navigation menu. If not, take a look at this article. It should be relevant if your theme follows the usual conventions.

    Once you have a custom menu set up as the main navigation you can manipulate the menu text by going to Dashboard –> Appearance –> Menus and opening up the menu item you want to edit in the main panel and typing in whatever label text you fancy.
