ISO a plugin – for a 2 option drop down page generator

I need to make a site that auto generates pages based on info imported into a database. well, that sounds like wordpress!

to call the pages, there will be a drop down selector that, ideally, would auto-populate based on all the possible options in the specific table.
there will be two selectors:
Year -> Market

then display page w/ all the relevant info.

I’m stumped where to begin.

I thought about creating categories for markets, and tags for year (or vice versa), but that started to get complicated and I would still have to enter in all the pages by hand. there are over 200 markets for every year, starting at 2005 and continuing on into the future.

another idea I had was to import pages into the database and see what happens there. that didn’t work as expected. I broke the site. (disclaimer: it’s possible I did this one terribly wrong…but I was not able to determine what I did wrong)

Is there a plugin that I can import data into?
or some other alternative?
