I am using Twenty Eleven theme with 3.2.1

When I post a link from my site on facebook in the description it produces a bunch of html as the description instead of a description of the page.

Here is a screen print of the issue: https://quicklol.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/wp-bug.jpg

The text in the description always reads:

You may use these HTML tags and attributes: a href=”” title=”” abbr title=”” acronym title=”” b blockquote cite=”” cite code del datetime=”” em i q cite=”” strike strong – i removed the brackets because it was messing up the thread.

Please can someone tell me why this is happening and how to stop it?

No one even bothered to reply to my post last time…

Thanks for nothing ppl who read this and said nothing… so pathetic. I looked all over the internet and people were recommending plug ins and all sorts to fix this problem. Is everyone really that thick… :/ ??

Anyway after giving it some thought I solved the problem.

For anyone else who needs help; facebook uses the meta tag description for the site description when linking (pretty obvious really and a silly thing for me to overlook). You can use a plugin such as headspace to add in your meta tag description data easily and this will solve the problem and also help with SEO as Google will use these tags too to show in the SERPS. You may be able to do this without a plugin but I am a WP noob so am not sure. Headpace is a really nice plugin though so give it a go if you’re not sure either. Good luck I hope this helps ??

Now I must make meta descriptions for 140 pages ??
