Clickable Smilies and Email Alerts

  • Hi, I have two questions. The first, to add clickable smilies to your comments do you have to download wp-grin, and if so, what directory or subfolder do I put it?

    Second question, I selected “email me whenever anyone posts a comment”. But haven’t received any emails even though people have left comments. Any idea what I could have done wrong. I’ve entered an email address in both Options and Users profile.

  • There is a clickable smilie plugin, check the codex.

    As far as the email thing, I had the same issue, and turned out my mail client was automatically placing generated mail in the junk folder. Check there first, then check you email setting for a typo.
