cg whattunes error

  • I have installed all the plugins for both CG-Amazon and CG-Whattunes and activated them. However, when I click on CGA or Tunes on the admin panel, it gives me this error:

    The requested URL /wp-admin/cg-plugins/cga-admin.php was not found on this server.

    The cga-admin.php folder was located under plugins/cg-plugins/ and I’ve tried putting the cga-admin.php file under wp-admin where it was looking for the file but it still gives me an error. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help at all would be appreciated.

  • I assume you meant cg-admin.php file ?? Did you remember to chmod the cg-plugins directory to make it readable?

    edit: there should be no cg files or directories in wp-admin

    I am using David Chait’s Chaitgear, which has both of these plugins, and there is no cga-admin.php file anywhere. I looked in wp-admin, wp-content/plugins, and wp-content/plugins/cg-plugins.

    Oops, I found it. It is called cga-admin.php, and it is in the cg-plugins folder and it is 25 kb in size.

    Edit your cga-config.php file; there is a place to configure the path there.

    Yep, it is in the cg-plugins folder. Look again.

    My cga.config.php file says:

    $myplugins = 'wp-content/plugins/cg-plugins/'; // in the plugins subdir

    Be sure yours does as well. Sounds like it’s looking in the wrong place for the files it needs, which is odd, because the above line of code is under David’s comments not to edit below this line.

    I did chmod the plugins directory, so that wasn’t the problem. I looked inside the cga-config.php file to change that line but it already say this:

    $myplugins = ‘wp-content/plugins/cg-plugins/’; // in the plugins subdir

    I still keep getting the error that says this when I click on CGA or Tunes in the wp-admin panel:

    The requested URL /wp-admin/cg-plugins/cga-admin.php was not found on this server.

    Is there any other files I could change that this URL would be listed in? I looked in the files and didn’t find a URL like that anywhere.

    Any other ideas of what could be wrong?

    You should never have to change any paths in any of my code, so long as the cg-plugins folder is inside the /plugins folder..

    I haven’t tested with 1.5.2, in case there’s any particular issues (beel or joni? either of you updated?)

    And, I assume you have the latest PowerPack (meaning, you downloaded it in the past few weeks…).

    That particular error reminds me of menuing issues in the earliest 1.5 release, but I can’t say I’ve heard of it since. Again, I haven’t tried anything against 1.5.2, so who knows whether they mucked with the menu-setup calls yet-again…

    No errors here. The only problem I am having since upgrading is getting Popularity Contest working. I need to track down if there is a conflict with CG-Stuff or possibly something else.
