Appearance – editor not displaying

Hi

Many years experience with wp, now trying the network version. Have got it running with 2 sites, loaded a theme into the network and activated on the primary site, but on the appearance menu, whilst I’m seeing themes/widget/menus, I’m not seeing the editor option.

Presumably some feature of network I’m not aware of! Why isn’t it showing, and how do it edit the css?
