My site is blank. Freaking OUT.

  • I have a Word Press template that was installed through goDaddy two years ago. I have used everything just fine until today.

    I went in to change my meta tags (because when posting links to Facebook, the secondary text it pulls from my site has nothing to do with original link). When I went to look at my site later, it was blank. White. Blank. Every page. I can still access dashboard, so I changed the meta tags script back to it’s original, thinking inhad messed up the code. I pasted original script in and the site is still blank and doesn’t even show up in google searches now.

    Invalid goDaddy, they said it is because the version of WP I am using is 2.8.5. However, I upgrade throughout the dashboard every time I’m prompted, so I don’t understand how that could be.

    goDaddy said that when i did the update through the admin panel, it broke the site. I al hysterical because I don’t want to lose my content or database.

    I need serious help.

  • Ask your host to perform a restore from an old backup. Godaddy should keep a back up of all your files and database. Don’t freak out, it will be fine.

    Mine is like that too! I have my through Bluehost and have only been online a week or two.

    Did you get it back up?
