[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NextGen broken in IE and modal window not working

Just updated to the latest verison of this plugin.
Seems to be an ongoing issue with NextGen’s gallery. Great plugin but buggy.
In IE8, the thumbnails are all squashed together and the modal window opens for a short while and then kicks into a new page after a few seconds which is not ideal.
Anyone know of a quick fix for these bugs, I need to send a gallery to a client urgently and don’t have the time to fix css issues.
