• Hello not the only one i know but here is the message i get when trying to upgrade.

You cannot update because WordPress 3.3.1 requires MySQL version 5.0 or higher. You are running version 4.1.22.

My Hosting company is running the latest version of MySQL and i have upgrade other sites on the same server!
Have tried auto and manual upgrades and now cannot log in without restoring from a backup. Cannot find an answer online,
    Any ideas?
    Thank
    Al

  • I have exactly the same problem. One site won’t update, the other will, on the same server, both 4.1.22.

    Any ideas anyone?

I have the same issue. I was running an old version of WordPress, on a server running an older version of php. I triggered a password reminder and bam – I got this message and can’t log in to my blog.

I contacted my host who transferred the site and the database over to a server running My SQL version 5, but now what do I do?

I’m not sure what I have to change in order to get the site to access the new database rather than the old one. At the moment I am still getting the same error message I presume becasue I need to make some changes.

Please can someone help as I have very little technical knowledge and my hosting company aren’t that familiar with WordPress (or they dont want to help!).

ANy help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.
