• I just switched from Blogger to WordPress, but I’m really disapointed about the RSS feeds.

The thing is, I own 2 computers; a PC and a Mac. The PC has Windows XP and Kubuntu Linux installed on it and the Mac has OS X 10.3.9.

I use RSS Menu and NetNewswire Lite on Mac to view my RSS feeds. It displays them; shows incorrect characters for some special Turkish characters, but it still shows. On Kubuntu, there is an aggregator called aKregator, which comes pre-installed with the OS. I added my feed address, and it just worked; no problems at all. (Not even the Turkish character problems.)

But on Windows… God, this OS is a pain in th.. Ehm, whatever…
I installed at least 7 RSS readers, which some of them has 5 stars on Download.com and/or VersionTracker. Non of them could see the RSS feeds.

But I don’t really care about all this. What I really care about is Firefox support. I’ve tried every feed file (wp-rss.php, wp-rss2.php, wp-atom.php, wp-rdf.php; to be exact) but to no avail. It is either stuck on “Live Bookmark loading…” or it shows “RSS/RDF loading failed”. I have to solve this problem, as most of my sites visitors are using Firefox.

By the way, I’m using MinimaPlus theme and it has a link to a non-existent “iyiinsan.net/wordpress/feed/” folder on the sidebar. What is this folder supposed to do, and why doesn’t it exist?

    Thnx in @dvance

PS: Sorry for the long title…

    That’s the url ?

    FeedDemon just auto-discovered that fine.
    Gregarius also auto-discovered the file.

No, that’s the Blogger one… That’s the one that “works”…

The one I’m talking about is https://www.iyiinsan.net/wordpress

I changed the part of the PHP code where the <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”PHP STUFF HERE REGARDING ENCODING”?> to <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”utf-8″?> and saved the files as wp-rss2-p.php. It now works on RSSOwl on Windows with the correct Turkish characters, but thats it. Still doesn’t work on Firefox. (The Turkish characters also don’t work on RSSOwl for Mac, but I think that it has something to do with the “No Turkish support for Mac OS X”…)
