Author posts on separate page than bio?

Hi,

I have set my author.php template file to show the bio of the user. On this page, I don’t want to show the author’s posts – at least not all of them, maybe the latest 5.
This works fine, no problem.
However, I would like to add a link to an archive page with all posts by the author. Now, when I use <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> it just directs me back to this exact page.

So my question is: Is it somehow possible to have an archive.php page for showing the posts of a specified author?
