as an update, I am getting an Apache server error – 500 – message, and here is the first line of the error log file:

    [Mon Jan 02 20:06:43 2012] [error] [client 66.249.67.3] /web/cgi-bin/php5: /usr/local/lib/libpng12.so.0: no version information available (required by /web/cgi-bin/php5)

I can give you the rest, just not sure I should post it here. My domain provider (GoDaddy) has been trying to help me troubleshoot, but we haven’t found anything yet to correct this issue.

One more update – I tried renaming the .htaccess file in my FTP directory, per an old thread of posts on www.remarpro.com about this same issue, and it did NOT work.

Another update – I tried adding a new post, and removing another, using the WordPress App on my iPhone, and both failed for this blog – https://www.survivaltipsforexpatsandspouses.com

It’s a “Premature end of script headers: index.php” error – does anyone know how to fix? Removing the .htaccess file does NOT work. Thanks.

Hi – can anyone help? Am I the only one having this error? I cannot understand why it’s only this one of my 4 blogs having the issue! I just upgraded, again, to newest version of WordPress. Deactivated my plugins, too, no change to the issue….

Are all of your WordPress sites hosted under the same hosting account?

You give 2 different errors in this post. The first looks like it would be a server setting that would be causing the issue. The second is hard to tell but could be another server setting issue.

Did the second error you post have more information or did it just show that?

Hi yes Godaddy hosts all my domains. They are all under the same plan. This blog has existed for three years and the problem just started. It’s all the same error. I just went to my FTP directory to provide more details (the file is very long) since Apache server 500 is not very meaningful. Any ideas what I should do?

Can anyone please help? I am flat out on my blog – cannot add posts, cannot remove posts, and I have to get this fixed.

Jarret – to your question, now that I’m not replying from my iPhone, again there is ONE error code – on the internet, it’s called an Apache 500 Server issue. I then pasted more detail about the error, from an error log within my FTP site – I posted 2 lines out of about 50. I really need this fixed – deactivating plugins, removing the .htaccess file, and upgrading, AGAIN, to current WordPress version have all failed to rectify the problem.

Is there anyone I can speak to? Anyone know how to fix this??

Is there anyone I can speak to?

Only this volunteer staffed forum. And please bear in mind that your issue is no more urgent than anyone else’s. If you feel that you need more dedicated support, you may want to try hiring someone.

In the meantime, have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thank you! I agree, my issue is no more, or less, important than anyone else’s. I noted that other posts were being answered in minutes, and mine went a day with no reply, so I presumed it got lost.

Oddly, I had deactivated plugins one at a time, but that did not work, but following your suggestion of deactivating them all (at once) that somehow corrected the issue!

Thank you so much for your help!

P.S. – in case it might help anyone else, the plugin causing the problem was: Global Translator Version 1.3.2 | By Davide Pozza
