[Theme: Custom Community] WordPress homepage overlapping with custom community homepage

Hi. I have just installed wordpress 3.3 nd installed the Custom Community theme from via WordPress free themes selection.

What I am seeing from my end is Custom Community’s header overlapping with the navigation links /headers in a default WordPress index.

Is this really how it should look like upon fresh installation? What do I need to tweak to make it look like your demo site?
