WordSocial does not post to FB, Twitter or Linkedin

I’m experiencing the same thing… I’m connected but it’s not posting when I post and it’s been a at least 5 hours since my last post

Is it scheduled posting ? If yes, try with the version 0.5.2.

I just tried installing 0.5.2 and posting the content. No luck. Here are two things I noticed,

1. I have a network wordpress installed, if I network activate the plugin, should it show in the individual sites as an active plugin? It does not, it shows on post page as a box with options on the right for FB, TW, LN. Even if I select those and post… nothing gets posted

2. I am able to connect individually to each of these sites on the wordsocial plugin site for individual websites.. it just does not post..

Please help.

I think that works for manually created posts…

however, using wprobot.. is there a way to automatically check those buttons on wprobot posts? i have no problem modifying the code, if you can help thanks

The problem is now with networked sites ?? I’m on it.

For wprobot, I can’t really test it because that plugin is not free. I’ll try to do my best and see with the developer if I can have a version to do what you would like.

that would be awesome.. he’s a good guy. probably won’t be a problem. the base version is pretty cheap. he’ll prob hook it up.

Also, I’ve noticed a bug. When you update a post or add a new post and check the twitter / facebook checkboxes … it works fine but then if I update again without the checkboxes marked. It still attempts to post to twitter & facebook

It should be fixed with the version 0.5.3. Could you confirm ?

One other thing, i’ve noticed. It doesn’t always grab the picture from the post. I’ve tried to use both the featured & custom image settings. I’m really not sure why it does sometimes and not others.

i’m talking about when posting to facebook. it will use the picture sometimes and sometimes it won’t

Actually, if you checked “Featured image” in the settings. You can only use it for pushing the image on facebook. On the other hand, if you use the custom field, you can only use that field.
You can’t use both in the same time (unless you change the settings before updating a post :/).

If it’s already what you do, maybe you can find a way to reproduce it ? Maybe it’s only with some type of image ? jpeg, png or anything ? Because it’s a bit weird if sometines it works and sometimes it doesn’t if everything is well configured ??

right now I have set to custom image. and if my post looks like this:

It will post the image.

However, if I take out the link IMAGE STILL HERE It doesn’t post that image to facebook. I guess what I’d like to see it do is grab the first image in the post and use it and if there is no image, then use the default “WSO balloon” image.

Hopefully that makes since. Basically, it seems as if there is some intelligence built in to use a picture from the post. I’m hoping, you could add just a little more “smarts” to the program and always have it grab the first image. Maybe that could be an option in the settings. For my site, it would be a super useful feature.

Scheduled posts do not post to social networks.

Also, it seems no matter if I have on featured or custom it wants to grab the first image that I have in an anchor tag and post that to facebook. For my page, it’s a banner advertisement that keeps getting posted to FB. I have to turn off images for now, completely.

I’m also having issues with 5.3 NOT posting to any of my social media sites when “Scheduled” posts hit in my hosted wordpress blogs. It’s infuriating.
