adding text above the blog posts on a page

if you are using a page template and want the content of the page to show, you will need to add a simple loop into the page template before your custom loop for the posts;

Here is the past link you wanted. This is from page.php of the twentyten theme I use. I actually use a child theme so as not to have to redo all of my limited customization. I hope this won’t reck what I need to do. And I hope this is the right file. I am a novice when it comes to wordpress but not html. I can learn fast how ever.
