Excited over WP 3.3, google really found my blog fast!

  • Hi out there everybody,

    just half a week ago, I got an offer to buy .se domain for only 19 SEK/domain. I asked nicely, if phpBB MOD team member tumba25 let me do an experiment witch WordPress at his server.

    Said and done, the nameservers where easy on me and not many hours after my idea, I already was running an RC-version of WP 3.3!

    It is a blog for Bubble Witch Saga, the Facebook game. I hope I’ll have the time to complete a guide for every level, spiced with my own opinions. I am not shore if I have the patience to write on everyone. Last evening I didn’t even have time to play that much, I am trying to do own screencasts of my levels and that is time consuming learning.

    I haven’t done much to promote my new site, I actually think I have less then five links to it elsewhere than facebook and absolutely no Page Rank at all. Still there have been a massive upgoing curve of visitors that have came to my site, I don’t know, if I should get that excited, but I think that over 60 visitors from google search is a GREAT achievement, when the site is younger than six days! I didn’t really expected to see results this fast.

    I have the google analytics code in a footer-widget and a child theme to get the sidebar on posts and a small plugin for google plus and facebook shares, that is all. I am really supriced that everything is this easy,

    This is the fourth site I made with wordpress, the sites before have really lot of hacks and a lot of effort put in to them, but this is the first one that I think is successfull.

    This new WP 3.3 is really something great, almost worth worshiping, if you are a publicist. I am no publicist, I am supposed to be a coder some day, but oh no, almost feels like “Hey, why bother, they already made something much better than I ever can accomplish!?” XP

    Yesterday I had 144 visits from google, on the 10th day of the blogs existing. I wonder if it common to get a WP-blog visible in search engines this fast?

    With proper SEO practice – it is very likely. My blog had over 200 visitors in it’s first 10 days.

    Saturday had even more and slightly more than saturday today. I have a really light and small subject on the blog, so it isn’t probably going to last so long. I hope that the total page view amount will be at least one million before it is time to close. At this rate it seems a fair goal. ??

    I had a huge insight today, after reading that this is completely normal, ty bdbolin. My blog is in English! It explains why I am so amazed over the amount of visitors. You see, I am not totally new in the webmastering field, but this is the first one in English, I have living stats for nine other sites, that I was comparing with. Old sites with not that bad content, SEO or PR. T&hey are ALL in either Swedish or Finnish and of course there are lot fewer readers for those.
