Some permalinks cause 404's

  • When I change a permalink on a couple of my pages to what I want it to be:

    https://mydomain.com/training

    It causes a 404 within WordPress. I can call that page ANYTHING but training and it will work just fine.

    I searched through the DB and found a permalink for “training” and I saved my page, deleted it, deleted the permalink in the database, created a new page, changed the permalink to “training” and I still get the same 404 within WordPress.

    Where else is the Permalink info stored? Do I need to make a link via htaccess to get it to work?
