• Hi,

I’ve producing a child theme for Twenty Eleven on my personal blog and have encountered a werid problem. One that forced me to do a complete fresh install of wordpress and the parent 2011 theme.

I’ve created some overriding files such as category etc. no problem but as soon as I drop the image.php file into the child theme I get a php white screen of death. There is nothing in my functions.php except for two lines that import the required code for custom posts but all this works fine until I try and override images.php.

Does anyone have any ideas? Typically the whitescreen is quite unhelpful.

    Cheers

    Chris

  • What happens if you remove image.php? Have you tried checking your server’s error logs?

    Hi Esmi,

Good call on the server logs sadly it seems to show nothing. The point at which I think the logs show the image being called just show the main site URL. But I was checking via an iPad app so will take a better look tomorrow.

If I remove the image.php file it works again.

Who knows – a case of strangitude!

    Thanks for your input.

    Chris.
