  • Thank you for the kind words and the suggestion – it is something we can look to implement in time. For now, we allow users with the role of Event Contributor to add events – with some customization, this could be extended as-is to have guests use the Event Contributor role and/or set the plugin to simply allow guests to post as well

I would also like it if users can also submit events for approval.

In the meantime I might allow selected Event Contributors to add events. However, before I do this I have one query. Is it possible to limit it so Event Contributors only see their own events in the Administration panel and not events created by other users?

    Hi there,

I’m the webmaster for our local town council and I’d also love the ability to allow guests or even registered users to submit events that must be approved by an admin prior to it being published.

    Thanks for a great plugin!

One more request… network awareness for the plugin.

    Hi Rick,

See the answer above. Event Contributors can submit events for approval. You can create a new user in the WordPress Dashboard under Users > New User

As a workaround to letting any guest add an event, you could supply a guest username / password. However this does make the site less secure.

I’ll add network awareness as a feature request. Can I as why you think this would be a good idea?

    Majato,

You could give each users a tag or category, and then only show them the calendar with that tag or category. This would take a little development.

    Cheers,
    Mark
