  • Hi,

If the shortcodes are custom to the desktop theme then WPtouch can’t “see” them. Only WPtouch Pro at this time allows you to filter shortcodes in the mobile theme. There are also some other things you can do about shortcodes which we have documentation for available to WPtouch Pro users.

Sounds similar to a problem I encountered with the latest version of the plugin.

Use of the standard shortcodes made available through the WordPress Jetpack package would fail to work as intended in WPtouch.

In the end I had to revert back to the previous version of WPtouch 1.9.34 to get it to work correctly.

I was in Email conversation with a representative of BraveNewCode, who went strangely quiet after I highlighted the issue which exists mainly on Android Gingerbread 2.3 phones…

    dankrosso,

Were you who submitted a question about your videos not playing on certain Android devices when the videos are embedded using JetPack shortcodes? If so, we’ll make note of it to do some testing there and log it for fixin’ if needed. Thanks.

    Isn’t this the issue?
I reported this about a month ago, about YouTube shortcodes on WordPress not being able to render properly with the latest version of WP Touch.

We’ve made note of it and will continue to look into it. Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Sorry, only just seen your response from a fortnight ago…

Yes, that was me. Problem still exists in the newest version of the plugin (1.9.37).
